"Good evening Bethany Families. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
We will continue operating under Plan B this week with students in our AA cohort attending school on campus Monday and Tuesday and students in our BB Cohort attending school on campus Thursday and Friday. No students will be on campus Wednesday this week. 100% virtual learners will participate remotely Monday through Friday this week. I encourage all parents to stay in touch with your child’s teacher and stay closely connected to our school’s website at bethanyelementary.org and our social media outlets.
1st quarter report cards will go home this week. AA students will receive theirs on Tuesday, BB students will receive theirs on Thursday and virtual student report cards will be mailed. I encourage all parents to look at their child’s report card. Annual parent conferences will begin in the coming weeks and run throughout November. Parent conference will be held virtually this year. We encourage all parents to meet with their child’s teacher.
Bethany Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week Monday through Friday showing our commitment to stopping bullying and staying drug free. Students can participate in-person or virtually by showing spirit in the following ways. Monday - Wear red from head-to-toe; Tuesday - wear your favorite hat to put a “cap on drugs”; Wednesday - Wear pajamas; Thursday - Wear red from head-to-toe; Friday - Wear your favorite team apparel to “team up” against bullying and drugs.
Parents, students and staff will practice various safety drills at school this week, including lockdown drills and fire drills. These are only precautionary as we work hard to provide a safe environment for our students and staff.
Lastly, please join us this Wednesday, October 28th as the PTA hosts a Halloween Trunk of Treat Drive thru from 5-7pm. The cost to participate is $5 per child. The Trunk or Treat will feature a costume contest by our Bethany Elementary Staff and an opportunity for kids participating to collect candy from the safety of their cars. This event is open to the public. All traffic will enter the main parking lot and wind through a designated path. We hope your family will participate and help support this PTA Fundraiser.
Have a great evening and we look forward to a great week of school!"
