Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
Bethany Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week Monday through Friday showing our commitment to stopping bullying and staying drug free. Our Bethany student council voted on spirit days this year and wants students to participate in the following ways. Monday - Cowboy up against drugs by wearing western attire; Tuesday - Wear Red, White and Blue; Wednesday - Wear pajamas; Thursday - choose a friend and dress as twins; Friday - Wear festive Halloween colors like Orange, Black, Purple and Green. Please remember costumes should not be worn to school.
Students in grades 3-5 will take the Math benchmark assessment on Tuesday and 5th Grade students only will take the Science benchmark assessment on Thursday this week. This is a short assessment to let our teachers know how students are progressing. Please be sure students get plenty of rest and are on time for school these days.
Parents, all Fall fundraiser money is due this Friday, October 29th.
Parents, please join us this Friday, October 29th as the PTA hosts a Halloween Trunk of Treat Drive thru from 5-7pm. The cost to participate is $5 per child. The Trunk or Treat will feature a costume contest by our Bethany Elementary Staff and an opportunity for kids participating to collect candy from the safety of their cars. This event is open to the public. All traffic will enter the main parking lot and wind through a designated path. We hope your family will participate and help support this PTA Fundraiser.
Bethany will have an outside Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, November 10th. If any student has local family members who are Veterans or are active military personnel, please send in the name, address, and relation to student so that we can extend an invitation for them to attend. With safety protocols in place, this event will be by invitation only and closed for the public. Thank you for your help!
Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!
