Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
In honor of Veterans Day, there will be no school this Thursday, November 11th. On behalf of Bethany Elementary, I would like to say a special thank you to all of the Veterans that have served our country so proudly throughout time.
Also, the RCS Board of Education recently voted to adjust the school calendar for students. This Friday, November 12th will now be a remote workday for staff. Students will not attend school this Friday, November 12th. Remote work will not be assigned for students. We hope our Bethany families will enjoy the long weekend as they remember our Veterans and their service to our country. Students will return to their normal schedule on Monday, November 15th.
Bethany Elementary is excited to again host its annual Veterans Day program this Wednesday, November 9th. This event is for invited guests only and closed for the public. We look forward to honoring over 100 Veterans. Our students have been working hard to prepare for this outside celebration. We encourage our students to wear Red, White, and Blue on Wednesday as we honor our Veterans.
Lastly, student tardies have been on the rise lately. Please remember, our tardy bell rings at 7:45am and it is very important for students to be on time each day. Students wishing to eat breakfast should arrive before the tardy bell rings.
Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!
