"Good evening Bethany Families. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
Virtual learning will continue for all students this week. Thank you for your continued support of your child and our school. We know this process is challenging for all. Please remember, during Virtual Learning, we take daily attendance, assign grades for completed work, and require daily participation. Work should be completed within 7 days of being assigned. Assignments submitted weeks late will not be accepted as it does not provide our teachers an opportunity to grade and provide accurate student feedback.
Our teachers are continually working hard to prepare each week and will certainly remain in close contact with their students and families. I encourage all parents to stay in touch with your child’s teacher.
Wednesday Will be a remote instruction day for all students.
Bethany Elementary School will continue serving free breakfast and lunch to any child up to age 18 through the end of this school year, regardless of their free and reduced meal status. Simply come to our school between 11:30am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday, to pick up your child’s free lunch and breakfast for the next day.
Lastly, please mark your calendar for Thursday, December 17th as our PTA hosts Cookies with Santa and our annual Toys for Tots Campaign from 5-7pm at Bethany. Santa and Ms. Claus will greet students in a drive thru outside our school and there will be a safe photo opportunity for one family at a time. A Toys for Tots donation box will be stationed near Santa for new, unwrapped toys. Thank you to our PTA for continuing this fun Bethany tradition.
Have a great evening and we look forward to a great week of school!"
