Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week. End of Grade tests for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. Our students and teachers have worked extremely hard this school year and I know they will do their very best this week. Please be sure students get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast and are on time for school each day this week! Parents, our Bark Blast Water Day will be held this Friday, May 27th. We ask that students wear shorts and a t-shirt, something that they can get a little wet and dirty in. We also prefer that students wear closed toe water shoes or tennis shoes for safety. Bathing suits are not allowed. We would also like to thank those that provided supplies for our water day fun. We are still in need of bottled water, canned drinks, water hoses and nozzles. Items can be dropped off in the front office any day this week. Pre-Ordered Bethany yearbooks have arrived and will be passed out to students on Tuesday, May 31st. We have a limited supply of extra yearbooks available for purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please visit yearbookforever.com to reserve yours today. If you are unable to go online, please send in $30 cash or a $30 check made payable to WALSWORTH by May 27th. All library books are due to the media center by Friday, May 27th. Please help by locating and turning in all books by this date. Bethany Elementary is still enrolling kindergarten students for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have a student that will enter kindergarten next year or know of a family with a kindergarten age student, please call our school at 336-951-2710 or come by our front office to pick up an enrollment packet. This year, Bethany will offer remediation and retesting for students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 who make a Level 2 on the Math EOG, in Grades 4 and 5 who make a Level 2 on the Reading EOG and in Grade 5 who make Level 2 on the Science EOG. The remediation and retesting will take place June 13th-29th. More information will come home individually if your child is able to participate in this opportunity. Retesting will be very important for the success of our students and school! Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!
