"Good evening Bethany Families. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
Parents, as we start another week of school I want to remind you to please contact your child’s teacher or our school prior to sending a child to school if they have symptoms, have been tested for COVID, have a family member that has been tested for COVID or have been exposed to COVID. Our school staff will help determine appropriate next steps for attending school safely. We will work with you to be sure your child still attends school virtually without an absence. This step helps ensure our school remains safe and open for students.
Parents, Rockingham County Schools is asking for parent participation in a survey providing feedback for our District. The survey will be posted on our school website, bethanyelementary.org, and shared through dojo tomorrow.
Bethany Elementary 2020-2021 yearbooks are still on sale. There is a limited supply remaining so please order quickly. Yearbooks cost $25.75 and are available for purchase online. Simply go to our school website, bethanyelementary.org, scroll to the bottom, and click on ‘Yearbooks.’ This link will direct you to yearbookforever.com where you can begin the ordering process.
Parents, all school fundraiser money was due this past Friday, April 30th. Money is still being collected each day. Please be sure all money is turned in to our front office as soon as possible.
Bethany Elementary is still enrolling kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year. If you have a student that will enter kindergarten next year or know of a family with a kindergarten age student, please call our school at 336-951-2710 or come by our front office to pick up an enrollment packet.
Parents, Bethany Elementary will begin collecting school issued chromebooks in the coming weeks. Please be on the lookout for more information from our school regarding return procedures. Students attending school virtually for the remainder of this school year will return chromebooks at the end of the school year.
Bethany Elementary will be hosting a 6 week Summer Acceleration Academy for students providing remediation in all academic areas. The camp will begin on June 14th and run through the end of July. Transportation and breakfast/lunch will be provided. Invitations will be sent in the coming week(s) to students who qualify based on this school year's academic progress and assessments.
Lastly, Bethany Elementary School is celebrating Staff Appreciation Week each day this week. I hope you will join me in celebrating all of our staff members this year. They have all worked so hard through the past year and are well deserving of the recognition. We love our Bethany Staff.
Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to a great week of school."
