Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.


Tennis club continues this Tuesday for 4th grade students. Please remember to bring your tennis shoes and water bottle. If you have questions regarding tennis, please reach out to Ms. Asnip.


Bethany Elementary is excited to continue ‘Good Vibes Tuesdays.’ This Tuesday is Tie Dye Day and students are encouraged to wear their best tie dye attire!


Pre-Ordered Bethany yearbooks will be arriving soon and will be passed out to students on Tuesday, May 31st. We have a limited supply of extra yearbooks available for purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please visit yearbookforever.com to reserve yours today. If you are unable to go online, please send in $30 cash or a $30 check made payable to WALSWORTH by May 27th.


All library books are due to the media center by Friday, May 27th. Please help by locating and turning in all books by this date.


Parents, Water day is approaching fast! This year’s fun will take place on Friday, May 27th. Many fun activities are planned for our students. As we prepare, we are in need of the following items: pump hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, water hoses and nozzles, canned drinks, bottled water and large car sponges If you are able to donate, please deliver the items to the front office or the gym no later than Friday, May 20th.


Bethany Elementary is still enrolling kindergarten students for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have a student that will enter kindergarten next year or know of a family with a kindergarten age student, please call our school at 336-951-2710 or come by our front office to pick up an enrollment packet.


This year, Bethany will offer remediation and retesting for students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 who make a Level 2 on the Math EOG, in Grades 4 and 5 who make a Level 2 on the Reading EOG and in Grade 5 who make Level 2 on the Science EOG. The remediation and retesting will take place June 13th-29th. More information will come home individually if your child is able to participate in this opportunity. Retesting will be very important for the success of our students and school!
