Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week. This Friday, March 25th is a Teacher Workday. There is no school for students. Childcare will be open. Bethany Elementary is excited to continue ‘Good Vibes Tuesdays.’ This Tuesday is Pack Pride day and students are encouraged to wear Bethany blue and white! Congratulations to our Bethany Elementary Battle of the Books team for their decisive win at the RCS District Finals last week! We are VERY proud of these students and coaches! They have worked extremely hard this year. The team will now move on to the State Regional competition in April! We'll continue to follow their journey and share news with our Bethany community! Kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year will begin April 19th. Children must be age 5 on or before August 31, 2022 to be eligible for kindergarten. Parents will need a birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residence to register. Students must register at their home school even if they apply for transfer. Bethany has designated April 19th from 9am-6pm and April 20th from 3pm-6pm as special registration times. Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome! Please call our Bethany front office to schedule an appointment. We are excited to welcome our newest bulldogs to Bethany and hope you will help share the word in our community. Transfer applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be available Tuesday, March 22nd in the Bethany front office, on the District website and at the RCS Central Office. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 29th. Students currently on transfer will not need to complete a new form this year and will remain enrolled at their current school. Transfer applications are for any new student requesting transfer to a new school next year. More information can be found on the RCS website at www.rock.k12.nc.us under Student Assignment. Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!
