"Good evening Bethany Families. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
This will be our final week operating under Plan B with students in our AA cohort attending school on campus Monday and Tuesday, students in our BB Cohort attending school on campus Thursday and Friday and 100% Virtual Students participating remotely Monday through Friday.
Beginning Monday, March 22nd, all elementary schools in RCS will move to Plan A, with all students having the opportunity to attend school in-person 5 days a week. Students wishing to remain as 100% virtual students may do so and will participate in school 5 days a week. Any previous virtual student wishing to return to in-person instruction should contact their child's teacher or our front office. Any student returning to in-person instruction must complete an attestation form prior to attending. All safety precautions will remain in place, including properly worn masks at all times. Students riding a bus will receive updated pick-up and drop-off times this week. We are very excited to have our students back on campus full time!
Parents, our annual school wide fundraiser has ended and all order packets are due to the Bethany front office this week. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's fundraiser. We have scheduled for items to be delivered to our school the week after Spring Break. We will share more information regarding delivery as we get closer.
Please join me in sending well wishes to our Bethany Battle of the Books team as they participate in the District competition this coming Friday. Our team has worked hard this year despite difficult circumstances and we know they will represent our school well.
Parents, we have scheduled picture make-ups and retakes for Tuesday, March 30th. Any student wishing to have their picture retaken or taken due to prior absence may do so on March 30th.
Parents, please be aware that Monday, March 29th has been designated as a Remote Learning Day. All students will participate remotely on March 29th. There will not be live instruction on that day, however attendance will be taken for participation.
Bethany Elementary is happy to announce that kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year will be April 13th from 8:30am-6pm and April 14th from 3pm-6pm. Please call our Bethany front office to schedule an appointment time to register. We are excited to welcome our newest bulldogs to Bethany and hope you will help share the word in our community.
Bethany Elementary will continue serving free breakfast and lunch to any child up to age 18 through the end of this school year, regardless of their free and reduced meal status. 100% Virtual students may pick up 5 days of meals on Wednesday each week between 11:30am and 1:00pm.
