Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, there will be no school tomorrow. Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th are scheduled Teacher Workdays. Students will return to their regular schedule on Thursday, January 20th.

Doors will open for all students at 7:25am on Thursday and they may report directly to their classroom. Students wishing to pick up breakfast in our cafeteria may do so before heading to their classroom to eat. Our tardy bell rings at 7:45am each morning. Students arriving late to school must be signed in by a parent at our front door.

Parents, our first semester has come to a close. 2nd quarter report cards will be sent home on January 25th. I encourage you to stay in touch with your child’s teacher and follow up with any questions you may have about your child’s academic progress once report cards are received.

Lastly, please continue to help our school stay safe by keeping students who are sick, showing symptoms of COVID or have been exposed to COVID at home until you have talked with our school for the safest next steps. Also, if your child has been tested for COVID, please keep them home until results return. If your child tests positive for covid, please keep them at home and notify our school. Our goal is to work with families so that we can continue to operate, in-person, safely.

Please enjoy the rest of your evening and have fun in the snow. We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday morning.
