Good Evening students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.

Parents, our school wide Attractions Book fundraiser ended this past Friday, March 4th. If you have not turned in your child’s order packet, please do so tomorrow. Please be sure to send in exact cash or checks made out to Bethany Elementary. If you received an order packet and did not sell, please return the order packet and Attractions book that was inside. We will send home all ordered books this week. We are very appreciative of your support with this fundraiser!

Bethany Elementary welcomes back our annual Spring book fair this week! The fair will be open Monday-Friday for students with special parent shopping hours from 7:30am-8:30am and 1:00pm-3:30pm each day. The fair will close at 12:00pm on Friday. This past week, students created wish lists for the book fair! If you choose to shop at the fair, you can send cash, check to Bethany Elementary, or set up an eWallet. More specific information can be found on our schools Dojo home page!

Attention parents of rising Kindergarten students, applications for the 2022-2023 SPLASH Spanish Immersion program will be available on Tuesday, March 8th, beginning at 8am. Applications can be found on our District website, at rock.k12.nc.us, or on our school website, at bethanyelementary.org. All applications are submitted online this year. Students will be accepted into the program by the order in which applications are received. Call Mr. Eanes for more information or to set up a school tour. We would love to have your student in SPLASH!

Bethany Elementary is excited to continue ‘Good Vibes Tuesdays.’ This Tuesday is Happy Hat day and students are encouraged to wear their favorite hat!

Attention 5th grade parents! You still have time to purchase personal 5th grade ad pages and send in baby pictures for the 2021-2022 Bethany yearbook. For purchasing information and further directions, please see the flyer’s attached to your child’s dojo.

Kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year will begin April 19th. Children must be age 5 on or before August 31, 2022 to be eligible for kindergarten. Parents will need a birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residence to register. Students must register at their home school even if they apply for transfer. Bethany has designated April 19th from 9am-6pm and April 20th from 3pm-6pm as special registration times. Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome! Please call our Bethany front office to schedule an appointment. We are excited to welcome our newest bulldogs to Bethany and hope you will help share the word in our community.

Transfer applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be available Tuesday, March 22nd in the Bethany front office, on the District website and at the RCS Central Office. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 29th. Students currently on transfer will not need to complete a new form this year and will remain enrolled at their current school. Transfer applications are for any new student requesting transfer to a new school next year. More information can be found on the RCS website at www.rock.k12.nc.us. Under Student Assignment.

Lastly, this week, March 7th-11th, is National School Breakfast Week. We encourage all families to take advantage of school breakfast from 7:25am-7:45am each morning. Breakfast, and lunch, is free for all students. Students wishing to purchase extra items from our cafeteria must have money on their lunch account.

Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!
