"Good evening Bethany Families. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
Due to current power outages and weather conditions, there is no school for students tomorrow. There will be no remote learning. Childcare will be closed tomorrow. I know many of our families are dealing with power outages, damages and cold temperatures tonight. Please stay safe, warm and know that all of us at Bethany are thinking of you and hoping things improve quickly.
As conditions permit, we will continue operating under Plan B this week with students in our AA cohort attending school on campus Tuesday, students in our BB Cohort attending school on campus Thursday and Friday and 100% Virtual Students participating remotely Tuesday through Friday.
As of now, school pictures are scheduled for this week. Flyers and ordering information were sent home last week. Students in our AA cohort will have pictures taken on Tuesday, February 16th and BB cohort students will have pictures on Thursday, February 18th. Virtual students will be given the opportunity to have their picture taken on February 16th or February 18th. Walk-ins are welcome between 12:00pm-2:30pm. Please enter at the double doors by the cafeteria. Masks are required and all students will be screened, including temperatures taken, before entering. Parents may walk students to the door but must remain outside. Pictures will be taken inside the gym to help with safe distancing. Students will be escorted straight to the gym for pictures and then back to their parents outside. If this week's picture schedules are disrupted due to weather, we will reschedule and keep you informed.

Bethany Elementary will host a schoolwide fundraiser beginning the week of February 22nd. Packets will be sent home with students with more specific information regarding this year's fundraiser.
Bethany Elementary continues to serve free breakfast and lunch to any child up to age 18 through the end of this school year, regardless of their free and reduced meal status. 100% Virtual students may pick up 5 days of meals on Wednesday each week between 11:30am and 1:00pm.
Please enjoy the rest of your evening and we look forward to a great week of school."
