"Good Evening Students and parents. This is Josh Eanes, Principal at Bethany Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week. First, I want to say thank you for an excellent first week of school. We really appreciate the support and cooperation of all of our Bethany families.
Doors will again open for all students this week at 7:25am and they may report directly to their classroom. Students wishing to pick up breakfast in our cafeteria will do so before heading to their classroom to eat. Our tardy bell rings at 7:45am each morning. Students arriving late to school must be signed in by a parent at our front door. As you arrive, parents are encouraged to use our morning car line for easy drop off but are allowed to park in the front lot and walk their student across our crosswalk to the front door. All parents and guests will remain outside of the building at drop-off.
Parents, breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge for all students this school year. Students wishing to purchase extra items at lunch may do so if funds are available on their lunch account. Lunch accounts can be created and updated by visiting k12paymentcenter.com.
Our annual school wide fundraiser packets came home with students this past Friday! This fundraiser is our schools largest fund source each year and provides our school opportunities to buy needed instructional resources. As you create student accounts at the fundraiser site online, you will not need to provide a student ID number. Simply leave that section blank and keep moving through the account setup. No money is collected while selling. Orders are due Friday, September 9th. Thank you for your support with our fundraiser and happy selling.
Our 2021-2022 yearbook is now on sale! Yearbooks cost $25 until September 6th. On Tuesday, September 7th, the price will increase to $30. To order, please visit www.yearbookforever.com.
Kindergarten families, our students will be busy learning colors this week. Help your child have fun by wearing Brown on Monday, Red on Tuesday, Yellow on Wednesday, Blue on Thursday, and Green on Friday.
Lastly, parents, please help our school stay safe and open for in-person learning by keeping students who are sick, showing symptoms of covid or have been exposed to covid at home until you have talked with our school for the safest next steps. Our goal is to work with families so that we can continue to operate, in-person, safely.
We hope you enjoy the last night of Summer Break and we look forward to seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning for the first day of school!"
